Výsledky vzdelávania

Knowledge:
• Basic knowledge of international business and the business environment in the European Union with a focus on the economic characteristics of the EU in general and on individual policies, specific information on business conditions in EU member countries and the possibility of developing export and import activities for Slovak companies with a special focus on energy/nuclear energy.
Competence:
• effectively use essential information about international business and the business environment in the European Union in practice with a focus on energy/nuclear energy.
• critically evaluate current problems of EU member countries, EU external relations, general development policy and EU relations with third countries,
• characterize the essence and evaluate the economy of EU member countries, general tax policy and the consequences of tax differentiation in the EU, common policies in the EU and their impact on a specific company.
Skill:
• Analyze the appropriateness of the operation of a energy/nuclear energy business entity in an international environment
• The ability to assess the benefits of cooperation for Slovak companies with individual EU countries and the identification of risks in the case of international cooperation in the field of energy/nuclear energy
• Knowledge about the possibility of doing business for our companies abroad and for foreign entities here.
• Evaluation of the economic policy and tax policy of EU member countries, the consequences of tax differentiation in the EU on our business entities.

The subsistence of international business (importance of international business for companies, ways of penetrating and acting on foreign markets, advantages, limitations). Entrepreneurship and business environment in the European Union - specifics of the common European space. Peculiarities of business in energy/nuclear energy. 2. The origin and development of the European Union. Legal foundations of the European Union. (treaties establishing the EC, EU, Treaty of Lisbon and Amsterdam, enlargement of the EU, candidate countries, symbols, sources of law, primary and secondary law). Membership of member countries in other groupings that affect European and international business. 3. Institutions and bodies of the European Union (Rules and decision-making procedures, Eurlex, European Parliament, European Council, Council of the European Union, European Commission and other EU institutions). Institutional environment – public and private institutions supporting business, especially in the field of energy/nuclear energy. 4. European Monetary Union (establishment of the monetary union, transition to the Euro in individual countries, Eurozone, activities of monetary union institutions, levels of economic integration, European semester). The impact of the Euro on the business environment in the country. The importance and status of international nuclear and radiological organizations in relation to the EU and its member countries. 5. Single internal market of the European Union (development of the single market of the European Union, principles of the internal market, regulation of trade barriers, Europe 2030 Strategy, business support). Consumer buying behavior. Culture and subculture and its impact on business. 6. Economic and social cohesion in the EU (goals of economic and social cohesion, Use of European funds and their impact on the development of the business environment in the country under review. Tax policy in EU member states (main priorities of tax policy, measures against tax evasion) - Economics of nuclear energy (Energy Taxation Directive 2003/96/EC, impact of taxation on energy prices, Fragmentation of taxation between energy products, Inconsistency of external costs with taxation, etc.). 11. The EU budget and its financing in individual EU member states (characteristics and creation of the European Union budget, budget financing). REPowerEU Plan 2022, RRF (The Recovery and Resilience Facility - NextGenerationEU). 12. Common foreign and security policy and the approach of individual member countries (objectives and instruments of the Common Foreign and Security Policy, Council for Foreign Affairs). ENSREG (European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group) and its role in solving issues of nuclear safety and safe management of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste. Groups WG1-WG4 for the exchange of good practices in these areas. 13.
