Knowledge:
- Acquiring the knowledge of basic terms such as keyword, definition, term, concept, designation, object, according to the relevant international standards STN - Terminology work.
Competence:
- Mastering basic strategies and procedures of terminology work, terminography and management of terminology databases.
Skills:
- Ability to use MS Excel as an input and output tool for preparing glossaries for various online platforms, practical use of web corpora (Slovak National Corpus) or terminology databases with the possibility of using free software to create subcorpora and glossaries according to specific domains (e.g. SketchEngine, Antconc), as well as extracting and importing terms for tools of computer assisted translation - CAT (SDL Trados, MemoQ).
