Principal investigator from MIT: Daron Acemoglu, TOP 3 in the world ranking of economic academics by RePec. This project aims to provide detailed evidence on the effects of automation in the United States and European countries.

Horizon 2020 Project: MAGYC: Migration Governance and asylum crises H2020-SC6-MIGRATION,Resarcher. Web: https://www.magyc.uliege.be/. The MAGYC (Migration Governance and asYlum Crises) project seeks to assess how migration governance has been influenced by the recent “refugee crises” and how crises at large shape policy responses on migration. The general objective of the project is to appraise policy responses in light of the ‘crisis’ and assess their efficiency for the long-term governance of migration. Funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme (Grant agreement number 822806), the MAGYC project is coordinated by the Hugo Observatory of the University of Liège, and brings together 12 international partners. It will run from November 2018 until October 2022.

INEG:Inequality and Economic Growth.Project APVV-15-0765, Resarcher. Following the main goal of the project, to contribute to the elucidation of the relationships between economic inequalities and economic growth the following new (main) results have been achieved. The development of the new economic inequalities indicators, which takes into account explicitly the situation of the low income groups; looking at the causes of income inequalities the new results are related to the impact of worker´s mobility, immigration, flexibillity of the labour market, participation at the global value chains and digitalization of the economy; we provided new and deeper insights into the negative impact of economic inequalities for the accumulation of human capital and consequently for economic growth based on non-parametric approach to the analysis.

#Pharmacies Entry and Competition in Regulated Markets: evidence from Slovak pharmacy market. Pproject APVV-18-0425, Principal investigator. The aim of the project is to explore the competition, entry and regulation in the pharmacy market in Slovakia. It approaches the subject from the perspective of research in Industrial Organization that has successfully investigated the context in which firms strategically make entry and exit decisions, deter entry of rivals to retain market power over time and reduce competitive pressure, and eliminate competitors in the market.

#ToSharePro: Towards a Shared Prosperity: Technology, Inequality, and Labor Market. Project APVV-23-0090, Principal Investigator. The project aims to contribute to our understanding and provide new empirical evidence on the impact of different technologies on employment and wage inequality, worker substitution and job creation, and to explore the role of institutional differences, strategies and policies in changing trends towards a more inclusive society and shared prosperity. 2024-2027
