VEGA 1/0363/20 Economic relations of the share of women in management positions at selected companies in the Slovak Republic; co-solver of the project; project solution time 2020 - 2022. The principle of equality of opportunity is currently one of the fundamental pillars of gender policy. Surveys conducted in several countries showed a positive correlation between gender and corporate financial performance. Women in management positions often eliminate social and labour issues at the workplace, thus they contribute to the improvement of the performance. The goal of this survey is to find out, whether an increasing share of women in the management of Slovakian companies impacts their financial performance. To process the primary data, multiple regression and neural networks will be used. We will check if there is any statistically significant correlation between the percentage of women in leading positions and corporate financial performance of Slovakian companies. In addition to the business benefit, we shall focus on the whole area of gender diversity in the private sector and the prognosis of equal percentage of women and men in top management positions.
