VEGA 1/0338/22 European Union and Strategy Europe 2020 in mirror of the Priorities and Challenges of the Agenda 2030 (2022-2023) - Deputy Head of the project - The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development covers a wide range of areas from economic growth, employment, through poverty and social exclusion, education, innovation to environmental issues. Indirectly, it includes the targets set out in the Europe 2020 strategy. The aim of the project is to analyse data on the priorities of the Europe 2020 strategy in the field of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, focusing in particular on assessing the degree of fulfilment of Europe 2020 targets by EU member states in the field of employment, poverty, education, R&D and the environment with a subsequent link to the targets of the 2030 Agenda. Attention will also be paid to the evaluation of the impacts of the corona crisis on the individual monitored areas and its impact on the final fulfilment of the targets. Based on the results of analyses and comparisons, the expected development, as well as the required development of the monitored indicators relating will be predicted in the period of the next 5 years.


VEGA no. 1/0363/20 Economic relations of the share of women in management positions at selected companies in the Slovak Republic (2020-2022) - Deputy Head of the project - The principle of equality of opportunity is currently one of the fundamental pillars of gender policy. Surveys conducted in several countries showed a positive correlation between gender and corporate financial performance. Women in management positions often eliminate social and labour issues at the workplace, thus they contribute to the improvement of the performance. The goal of this survey is to find out, whether an increasing share of women in the management of Slovakian companies impacts their financial performance. To process the primary data, multiple regression and neural networks will be used. We will check if there is any statistically significant correlation between the percentage of women in leading positions and corporate financial performance of Slovakian companies. In addition to the business benefit, we shall focus on the whole area of gender diversity in the private sector and the prognosis of equal percentage of women and men in top management positions.

VEGA no. 1/0251/17 - Research and development of an innovative model for cost accounting of material and energy flows of the company (2017-2019) - scientific co-worker - The project is focused on innovative modeling of more precise quantification procedures of integrated economic-environmental accounting of cost and revenue of material-energy business flows and organizational processes in the supply and demand chain. The system goal of the research is the development and verification of a new optimization model for integrated economic-environmental accounting of evaluate the materials and energies within individual transformation processes from entry into the company to exit in several quantification centers, including quantification of environmental impacts of the processes. The synergistic effect of the solving will result from maximizing the economic and environmental efficiency of individual processes, identifying their strengths and weaknesses and determining the potential for continuous improvement of comprehensively integrated quality of business processes and activities in sustainable production, green economy and green business growth.

VEGA no. 1/0708/14 - Sustainable development in higher education in the fields of management (2014-2016) - Deputy Head of the project - The main objective of the project is to create a model of sustainable development of higher education in the management field of study. Model offers solutions to ensure further development of the field of study according to social practice. It will also focus on the proposal of such changes in the structure of the field and the graduate profile that offers ways to balance supply and demand in the labour market, taking into account the assumptions concerning the future demands placed on core competencies, which the graduates would posses. The subject of the review will be the competencies of graduates of universities in Slovakia focused on study at the managerial departments. Attention will be paid mainly on identifying the gap between supply and demand in the labour market, which has the effect of reducing opportunities for graduates in the labour market position adequate to their educational attainment.
