Teaching results

Language knowledge: The aim of the course is to convey basic knowledge of the foreign language at an appropriate language level. After completing the course, the student understands the basic expressions of everyday life and phrases focused on everyday communication and can use them actively. He has also mastered the basic grammar rules.
Language skills: The student knows how to read texts, understands common vocabulary in topics from everyday communication, understands basic information and topics of written and spoken speech. He is able to communicate in everyday situations, ask questions and answer them correctly, he is able to talk adequately about the topics of everyday life.
Language competences: The student is open to the target culture, to people speaking the target language. Within certain topics he actively compares the German-speaking environment with Slovakia, seeks for common features and differences.

Indicative content:
- Activities in childhood, past tenses
- Working conditions, causal sentences
- Nature and environment. Possessive pronouns in 3rd and 4th case
- Activities in an office. Conjunction “deshalb”
- Events and meeting places. Time prepositions
- Sport, types of sports. Conditional clauses, advice and proposals
- Food and drinks. Conjunction “dass”
- Company and company environment. Word formation
- Things and objects. Verbs and prepositions with 3rd and 4th case
- Transport and means of transport. Prepositions of place with 3rd case
- Travelling, luggage. Wishes and conditionals
- Personal documents, indirect question.
