Teaching results
Students will obtain following knowledge:
- ability to understand the issues of trade operations in international business,
- the overview, categorization and regulation of trade operations in international business,
- contractual provision of various forms and specifications of trade operations used in
international business.
Upon successful finishing of the course, students will acquire the following competencies:
- interpret knowledge in practice with regard to the conditions of international trade
operations in international business,
- communicate at the required level within the assigned work team,
- implement business operations and create new strategies for further development of the
use of business operations in a changing international business,
- evaluate the acquired theoretical knowledge and innovations in the field and propose new
methods and forms of trade operations in a rapidly changing international business,
- lead a discussion in the field of proposed new methods and forms of trade operations in the circle of experts on the given issue.
Upon successful finishing of the course, students will acquire the following skills:
- use all the acquired knowledge in performing unpredictable tasks and solving various
problems in the field of business operations in international business,
- present the achieved results of research in the field of trade operations in international
business to the professional public,
- discuss and defend their opinions before the general professionals in the field of research results achieved,
- plan the development in the field of international trade operations in the context of new
scientific-technical knowledge.

• International trade operations – overview, categorization, regulation of international trade operations in the EU after Brexit and new trends (digitization and e-commerce). • International trade operations with goods – contract of sale, special types of trade operations, ensuring the trade operations influenced by current development trends. • International trade operations using intermediary relations and trade operations taking place in special trading venues. • International business operations in the field of services – ensuring the purchase and sale of the investment unit, international and consulting engineering, export and import leasing operations. • International trade operations in the field of tourist industry and their significance and impact of the pandemic crisis illustrated on the example of specific countries. • International business operations with intellectual property focused on know-how, trading with international licenses, patents and international franchising. • Trade operations in offshore business, their organizational and legal form, important centres of tax havens and their use in international business. • Fairs and exhibitions in international business, contract conditions, important international fairs and exhibitions, specialization and importance in international business.
Requirements to complete the course
- Active participation in discussion within the consultations – 10%
- Elaboration of the semestral work with a content leading to the topic of the dissertation thesis - 30 %
- Semestral work defense within the final professional colloquium – 60%
