By completing this course, students will enhance their understanding of microeconomics as it relates to markets and firm strategies within imperfect competition. They will grasp theoretical models that illustrate various market structures and other market dynamics. Additionally, they will become familiar with the theoretical background and methods for the use and misuse of market power, comprehending the implications of its existence.
During seminars, students will apply theoretical knowledge through empirical examples, utilizing real data to enhance their analytical abilities. They will develop analytical skills through hands-on experience with statistical software such as Stata.
