Knowledge:
A comprehensive look at leadership and the challenges faced by practitioners through an understanding of decision-making processes and their fallibility, the roles leaders play in bringing about change in organizations, and co-creating learning cultures. Examples of leadership
skills and techniques covered in the course include communication, public speaking, strategic negotiation, decision making, adaptive and innovative thinking, and team building. The information students will gain is based on the latest multidisciplinary findings from behavioral, social sciences, and neurobiology.
Competency:
- Application and effective use of multidisciplinary knowledge in leadership practice
- Ability to critically evaluate the diverse factors that influence performance, motivation, retention, and social relationships in organizations
- Propose solutions and actions that co-create an adaptive and learning organization
Skill:
- Effectively leading employees and assembling cross-functional teams
- Designing the change process and creating the right environment towards an adaptive organisation
- Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, persuade, motivate and encourage employees to perform optimally
