Upon successful completion of the course, students will acquire the following knowledge:
• Fundamentals of project management – methodologies, tools and techniques according to the IPMA ICB (Individual Competence Baseline) standard.
• Project life cycle – from initiation, planning, implementation to project completion.
• Scope, time, cost and quality management – how to plan and monitor the main aspects of the project.
• Risks and stakeholders – identification, analysis and risk management, as well as communication with stakeholders.
• Team management and collaboration – how a project team works, leadership and motivation of team members.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will acquire the following skills:
• Practical use of project management tools.
• Effective planning and organization of work in a team and at an individual level.
• Basic communication and presentation skills necessary for project management.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems related to project management through case studies.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will acquire the following competencies:
• Independent work in a project team – the graduate can effectively contribute to solving project tasks.
• Fundamentals of leadership and teamwork – can support a team and communicate effectively.
• Analytical and critical thinking – ability to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Results orientation – understanding project goals and adjusting activities to achieve them.
• Adaptability and flexibility – the ability to adapt to changes in the project.

Indicative content

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the IPMA Level D (Certified Project Management Associate) methodology, which is intended for individuals who have basic knowledge of project management but may not have practical experience in project management. This methodology will be applied through case studies solved during exercises as well as semester projects and practical internships in real company environments, which will allow students to gain insight into project management processes. After completing the course, students will be prepared to take the IPMA Level D certification exam, which will significantly strengthen their position in the field of project management.

Requirements to complete the course

60% semester seminar project,
10% continuous processing of tasks, worksheets or case studies.
30% written exam.

Student workload

26 hours of seminars,
52 hours elaboration of a semester project,
26 hours of self-study in preparation for the exam.
