Analysis of the establishment of a national air carrier - Head of research team (client: Ministry of Transportation and Construction of the Slovak Republic) The study was aimed to evaluate possibility of new national air transportation company. The study was not structured as bussines plan but as a base for possible realization. For the actual establishment study needed further evaluation market conditions.
Feasibility study of the establishment of a national carrier in inland waterway transport in the conditions of the Slovak Republic - member of research team (client: Ministry of Transportation and Construction of the Slovak Republic) The aim of the study is an evaluation of possibilities to establish a national company in the inland water transport. The study follows a previous analytic document Zriadenie národného dopravcu vo vnútrozemskej vodnej doprave v podmienkach Slovenskej republiky, elaborated by Ministry of Transportation and Construction of the Slovak Republic in 2018.
Comprehensive analysis of the use of water transport for other sectors of the economy - Member of research team (client: Ministry of Transportation and Construction of the Slovak Republic) The study dealt with the assessment of the possibilities of using waterways in Slovakia and the identification of the links of various sectors to water transport. The study identified strengths and weaknesses in the further development of the water transport utilization with regards to reduction of the environmental pollution.
Economic Research Informing Tobacco Taxation Policy in Slovakia (2023 - present). The project is focused on improving tobacco taxation in Slovakia in cooperation with the University of Illinois Chicago (in 2023) and John Hopkins University (from 2024). I am the principal investigator in the research team.
The relationship between efficiency and social justice - implications for economic policy - Member of research team (VEGA 1/0313/14) The project focused on examining the relationship between living standards and income inequality. The development of these parameters was harmonious in some periods, mutually exclusive in others. The results identify the need to take into account the effectiveness of measures to reduce income inequality with regard to living standards growth in the future.
