Sylabus predmetu
Course Syllabus: 1. Initial meetings in the company with the internship supervisor and preparation of the employment contract/agreement on the project work The student attends an initial meeting with a mentor in the company or at the Faculty of Business Management EUBA or at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics STU, where the main objectives of the internship and expectations from the student are defined. During this meeting, the specific conditions, scope and timetable of the internship will be agreed. A detailed description of the work activities and tasks focused on the practice in the field of energy and economics of at least 78 hours is created. 2. Approval of work activities by the Head of SP After the mentor in the company approves the description of the work activities, the student submits this plan to the the person with principal responsibility for the study programme for consideration. The programme supervisor will verify that the proposed activities are related to the programme of study and that they sufficiently support the development of professional skills. If necessary, he/she will suggest modifications or additions to ensure that the work experience meets the requirements and objectives of the course. 3. Work activities within the professional practice The student actively participates in tasks in the company or in a project under the guidance of a mentor. He/she works on real tasks that may include data collection and analysis, report writing, process optimization or designing new solutions. During the internship, he/she uses professional software and technology tools and interacts with the professional team of the company or research project. At the same time, he/she documents his/her activities and ongoing results. 4. Analysis and processing of practice results On the basis of the implemented activities, the student performs an analysis of the achieved results with an emphasis on the identification of strengths and weaknesses of the proposed solutions. He/she processes the data into a clear form (tables, graphs) and prepares the documents for the final report. The student evaluates the achievement of the objectives set at the beginning of the internship and formulates recommendations for further process improvement. 5. Preparation of the final report The student produces a final report that includes a detailed description of the activities performed, methods and technologies used, analysis of the results, and recommendations for process or solution improvements. The report also includes the student's own evaluation of the experience gained during the placement. The completed report is consulted with the supervisor of the placement, who provides feedback and recommendations for finalisation. 6. Presentation and defence of results Upon completion of the final report, the student prepares a presentation of the results of the internship, which is defended before a professional committee. The presentation includes the objectives of the internship, a description of the activities carried out, the results achieved, recommendations and own experience. During the defence, the student answers the questions of the committee and discusses potential improvements of the proposed solutions.
