The course is oriented to current real problems of practice. In a holistic cross-section of the selected topics, the only point is the need for interactions of different areas within the selected enterprise. The course contributes not only to theoretical understanding, but especially to the development of practical skills necessary for the work of an economist and manager. It prepares students for the demands of the real business environment and equips them with skills for successful employment in practice. The aim of the course is to prepare students to deal with complex problems and challenges in the dynamic environment of specific enterprises, with an emphasis on the use of a multidisciplinary approach, enabling them to develop the skills necessary for effective process management in modern companies.
Knowledge:
• to understand the context of business processes,
• to understand the synergy of business processes,
• to identify key processes in the enterprise,
• to understand key processes in the company, their specifics and management, including project and financial aspects of business.
Skills:
• to apply theoretical knowledge to specific practical situations,
• to analyze and optimize key processes in the enterprise,
• to evaluate critically situations and to propose solutions to problems on a tactical and strategic level,
• to apply effective strategies for managing business processes, projects, financial and accounting operations,
• to interpret complex data about processes in the company,
• to apply multidisciplinary approaches in business process management.
Competences:
• the ability to think with integrity,

• the ability to realize team-work in coping with the challenges of modern business.

1. Bases of an integrated approach in management, the importance of integration for business practice.
2. Integration of process management, projects, accounting, and reporting. Advantages and challenges of an integrated approach.
3. Effective management and optimization of business processes – starting points.
4. Methodologies, tools and modern approaches for managing and improving processes in the company – basic overview.
5. Integration of project management with business processes. Bases of project management.
6. Critical and systematic thinking in project management applied in practice.
7. Principles, methodologies and tools of project management.
8. Integration of accounting with business processes. Basic concepts of accounting, its importance in business and decision-making.
9. Accounting processes in the context of accounting standards and current legislation.
10. Financial reporting for strategic and operational management and decision-making.
11. Theoretical preparation for case study 1.
12. Theoretical preparation for case study 2.
13. Theoretical preparation for case study 3.
