Knowledge
To provide students with knowledge in the field of financing the needs of tourism actors, especially from public sources in their acquisition, use and evaluation of the effectiveness of their use.
Competences
The knowledge gained from this course and skills that students will be able to further use in practice will increase their competencies in decision-making processes for work in the field of financial management with emphasis on public resources obtained to support tourism and will be able to make decisions on obtaining and using these resources. responsibly based on the use of acquired knowledge and the application of skills.
Skills
The acquired knowledge and skills of students will enable students to acquire skills in analytical thinking in the application of acquired knowledge in solving practical problems using elements of critical thinking in application practice. At the end of the course the student is able to work out a proposal of the program budgetary structure in the field of tourism of central government body, local government body, request for subsidy and other non-retable financial grants and retable financial resources for the tourism support. Graduates have the core skills and knowledge to launch careers in the financial management in tourism of public administration and professional tourism organizations and tourism enterprises. They can look forward to roles such as:
- financial manager
- project manager
- monitoring manager
Indicative content
The aim of the course focuses on the studies of 13 main topics that are focused on financial management of public tourism support in a comprehensive of this support. Within the scope of the proposed subject this system includes central state administration bodies, but also for professional tourism organizations as well as local governments and tourism businesses and citizens.
