By completing the course, students gain basic information and an overview of personal data protection and handling. The course explains the impact of the current GDPR regulation on the presence and activities of the company on the Internet, deals with the rights and obligations of the website operator and its visitor, explains the mining, processing and subsequent deletion of personal data in a digital environment.
The graduate of the course will gain knowledge and practical skills in the field of personal data protection on the Internet and their handling in accordance with current regulations of the institutes that regulate this area and in case of non-compliance with the defined statutes.
The graduate of the course is able to use the acquired knowledge in a wide range of companies that use the Internet for their business activities, and which for their business or marketing purposes handle in some way the personal data of website visitors or users who came into contact with the company's Internet advertising.
Indicative content
The course defines and explains the rights and obligations of users and operators of websites from a legal-moral point of view. It focuses mainly on the protection of personal data on the Internet, on selected areas of the GDPR regulation, work with cookies, defines and explains the so-called "The right to be forgotten", clarifies anonymity and privacy on the Internet and predicts trends for the near future that will help users stay in the desired anonymity.
