Knowledge and understanding, skills
Based on the knowledge of research methodology, they will be able to select and apply appropriate research methods. Students will be able to process written material in an understandable way according to STN 01 6910, they will be able to present information, communicate through information and communication technologies, they will be able to apply appropriate research methods
Students will acquire knowledge and skills in the field of word processing and spreadsheets. In a text editor, they will gain skills in formatting text through styles. They can create and edit various objects in a text editor. They can create and edit tables and other graphic objects. They ca add descriptions, footnotes, lists, cross-references. In addition to these skills, they will be able to insert and edit various links within a document and will be able to collaborate on a document in team.
Competence
The final editing of the document will be ensured by checking the print version, and by setting the document as a whole. These sub-objectives will contribute to the achievement of the overall educational objective. In word processing they will be able to process a huge text (essays, thesis, etc.). In a spreadsheet, they will gain skills in formatting cells and tables as a whole. They can explain and apply various formulas and functions. They will be able to insert and edit various graphics objects in a spreadsheet, including graphs. By inserting and editing filters and subtotals, they will acquire skills in processing database. They will also be able to process these databases through pivot tables. They will acquire skills in creating simple macros, create their own functions using macros and will be able to use macros appropriately in automating work with PivotTables, graphs, databases and files. Students will learn to create applications in MS Excel using VBA.
Indicative content
• Text editor. Text formatting with styles. Set of MS Word styles, style assignment, modification of style properties, creation of new style, its modification, updating of character style, paragraph.
• Text editor. Creating and editing objects and tables. Creating and formatting a table, editing it, updating data. Graphic objects, their insertion, editing.
• Text editor. Descriptions (legend), footnotes, ending notes. Descriptions of objects and their lists, cross-references. Inserting and editing links. Monitoring and reviewing changes

• Spreadsheet. Cell formatting, tables in terms of content and aesthetics. Automatic format, conditional formatting. Cell addressing. Areas and their use in formulas. Work with multiple sheets, use simple functions and formulas.
