- Knowledge of migration processes on the European continent in the second half of the 20th century and the first two decades of the 21st century.
- knowledge of migration policies - immigration, asylum and integration policies
Competencies:
- Ability to explain basic concepts related to the study of migration processes, be able to identify the differences between the concepts of migrant, asylum seeker, refugee, foreigner
- understand the advantages and disadvantages of international migration
- understand the differences between different models of integration policy
Skills:
- Ability to expertly analyse the migration and integration policies of typical immigrant states
- identify differences and commonalities in the migration policy-making of nation states
- ability to locate primary data on migration processes and interpret them correctly
- express themselves in a foreign language on a specialist topic
