Deputy leader of the VEGA project, title "Modeling the failure of small and medium-sized enterprises in Slovakia using artificial intelligence methods". Research period 2021-2024, project number 1/0639/21. Project leader doc. Mgr. Marek Káčer, PhD. The project focuses on the use of artificial intelligence methods in the field of modeling the failure of small and medium-sized companies in Slovakia. In addition to the comparison of classic and innovative methods, the creation of more realistic and at the same time transparent models of the failure of small and medium-sized enterprises should be beneficial for both theory and practice.

Co-investigator of the APVV project, Project name: Driving forces of economic growth and survival of companies in the sixth K-wave (DEGSOF6KW), reg. number APVV-20-0338. Research period 2021-2024. Project leader prof. Ing. Pavol Ochotnický, CSc. Among the main objectives is to verify how new technologies and other megatrends will contribute in the environment of globalization to the development of labor productivity, to the substitution of production factors and other structural changes in the coming decades. Another is to verify the ability of companies to adapt, especially in the SME sector, to new technological challenges and the ability of companies to survive in the coming decades. The common supporting concept is the thesis that digitization and related to it, or also other new technologies (e.g. robotization and automation) will be the driving force of economic growth of economies, productivity, and survival of companies in the coming years, in a synergistic combination of the policies of the government, the central bank and other government institutions with the business sector.

Co-investigator of the project ""Implementation of prognostic and research and development activities in the search for new technologies and techniques for maximum effective recovery of waste, especially in the automotive industry, with the aim of minimizing negative impacts on the environment and saving primary energy and raw material resources" as part of the project of the UNIVNET consortium (University and Industrial Research and Education Platform of a Recycling Company), Research period 2019-2022. Reg. No.: 0201/0007/20 (Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic). UNIVNET, coordinated by STU BA, focuses on new technologies and techniques for efficient waste recovery, especially in the automotive industry, in order to minimize negative impacts on the environment and save primary energy and raw material resources. https://univnet.sk/

Co-researcher of the APVV project, title Competitiveness, economic growth and survival of companies, number APVV-15-0322, Project leader prof. Ing. Pavol Ochotnický, CSc., Research period 2016-2019. The project will develop and empirically test a model apparatus for explaining the sources of competitiveness of national economies, their growth, sources of competitiveness of companies and their survival in globalized economic competition.

Co-researcher of the APVV project, name University and Economic Development of Regions (UNIREG), number APVV-14-0512, Project leader prof. Ing. Milan Buček, DrSc., Research period 2015-2018. The main objective of the project was to examine the impact of universities on the development of the regions in which they are located and how the policy contributes to the development of the region through the support of universities. We analyzed the short-term effects of universities, which are related to the increased demand in the region due to the expenses of students, staff, visitors and also the purchases of the university itself. Universities are also contributing to the growth of human capital in the region. However, the magnitude of this impact is influenced by the ability to retain graduates in the region. This is the result of compliance between the structure of study programs and the requirements of the labor market as well as the overall attractiveness of the labor market and life for graduates. In addition to education and research, another task of universities is the development of business and the commercialization of knowledge. In Slovakia, too, universities are transforming into business universities and creating their own internal mechanisms.
