Co-investigator of the project "Modeling the impacts of the automotive industry on recycling companies" as part of the project of the UNIVNET consortium (University and Industrial Research and Education Platform of a Recycling Company), solution period 2020-2022. UNIVNET, coordinated by STU BA, focuses on new technologies and techniques for efficient waste recovery, especially in the automotive industry, in order to minimize negative impacts on the environment and save primary energy and raw material resources. https://univnet.sk/
Co-researcher of the APVV project, title Competitiveness, economic growth and survival of companies, number APVV-15-0322, responsible researcher prof. Ing. Pavol Ochotnický, CSc., Solution period 2016-2019. The project will develop and empirically test a model apparatus for explaining the sources of competitiveness of national economies, their growth, sources of competitiveness of companies and their survival in globalized economic competition.
Co-researcher of the APVV project, name University and Economic Development of Regions (UNIREG), number APVV-14-0512, responsible researcher prof. Ing. Milan Buček, DrSc., Solution period 2015-2018. The main objective of the project was to examine the impact of universities on the development of the regions in which they are located and how the policy contributes to the development of the region through the support of universities. We analyzed the short-term effects of universities, which are related to the increased demand in the region due to the expenses of students, staff, visitors and also the purchases of the university itself. Universities are also contributing to the growth of human capital in the region. However, the magnitude of this impact is influenced by the ability to retain graduates in the region. This is the result of compliance between the structure of study programs and the requirements of the labor market as well as the overall attractiveness of the labor market and life for graduates. In addition to education and research, another task of universities is the development of business and the commercialization of knowledge. In Slovakia, too, universities are transforming into business universities and creating their own internal mechanisms.
Co-investigator of the project Integrated research platform for the recovery of individual waste streams, especially from the automotive industry, responsible researcher prof. Ing. Ľubomír Šooš, PhD., Solution period 2016-2017. Joint applied research project of 5 Slovak universities led by STU in Bratislava, financed from the Recycling Fund (project number 4854).
Deputy leader of the VEGA project, title Debt episodes, fiscal policy and fiscal rules, number: 1/0838/14, responsible researcher prof. Ing. Pavol Ochotnický, CSc., Solution period 2014-2016. The project is focused on the analysis of the course of debt episodes that marked the development of the world economy and national economies in recent decades. The intention of the authors is to generalize the common causes and economic context of the course of debt episodes using models and simulations. Above all, however, to find historically based best policies and fiscal rules that will enable debt crises in national economies to be overcome and ensure the long-term direction of the economy towards fiscally sustainable development. The intention is to further develop the methodological apparatus and the results of the research of the team in the field of testing and analysis of fiscal sustainability. The project will include empirical experiments to quantify these relationships. The project will also result in recommendations / implications for creators of fiscal policy and fiscal rules in the Slovak Republic and for regional groupings of countries with common specifics.
