Project VEGA no. 1/0239/19 - Implications of Behavioral Economics for Streamlining the Functioning of Current Economies, Project member/ Solution time 2019-2022, Leader: prof. Ing. Anetta Čaplánová, PhD. project objectives: The aim of the project is to use the knowledge of behavioral economics to deepen the understanding of individual decision-making processes in the micro and macro spheres, identify deviations from rationality that occur in these processes, define and test appropriate mechanisms of pushing and empowerment that will help individuals make better decisions . If we achieve to reduce the deviations of individual actions from rationality, it will lead to an increase in individual well-being, which will also create the preconditions for an increase in the well-being of society as a whole.

Project APVV -18-0435 - Behavioral Interventions in Local Government: Increasing the Efficiency of Local Public Policies, Member of the Project, Leader: prof. Ing. Anetta Čaplánová, PhD., Solution time: 2019-2022. Project objectives: The applied project is based on current knowledge of so-called behavioural economics. This academic discipline studies human behaviour that, in keeping with microeconomics, it sees as the result of processes of decision-making and reasoning. The first main aim is to create a comprehensive catalogue of systematic, financially-manageable behavioural interventions (nudges and the like) and improvements to the current processes and instruments of public administration at the local level. The second main aim is to create a manual for general application of behavioural knowledge to public administration practices, which would include a handbook for systematic and expert application of behavioural interventions intended to enhance effectiveness of local public policies. The third main aim of the project is to use behavioural knowledge to enhance effectiveness of selected local public policies in partner municipalities. The application level of the project is the local public administration. Project is being solved in partnership with 4 municipalities. Project ́s outputs will thus be immediately felt by these 4 municipalities, but they ́ll be usable also by the rest of Slovak municipalities after their publication. Realisation of the applied research as submitted on pilot tests of behavioural interventions at the practical level indicates value for money in public administration by applying these behavioural interventions. The project will develop the capacities of Slovak public administration to create policies based on the behavioural approach.

Erasmus + CBHE project, ref. no :574092-EPP-1-2016-1-SK-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP / The project aims to achieve the following specific objectives: - To develop and implement the System of the Assessment of the Quality and Impact of Research at partner higher education institutions in partner countries of Region 6 (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand). - To develop, implement and accredit transferable research skill training modules at partner higher education institutions. - To develop international cooperation among members of the partnership at regional and interregional levels.

Project VEGA No.1/0545/23 -Improving the functioning of economic processes by using the knowledge of behavioral economics (Theoretical and empirical approach). The project develops scientific knowledge in the field of behavioral economics. Behavioral economics is an interdisciplinary scientific discipline that studies the behavior of individuals and the factors that move it away from rationality. The behavioral approach finds more and more application when economic development has proven the limitations of the rationality paradigm. The project is based on the systematization of scientific literature and its focus is original research focused on theoretical and empirical testing of selected concepts. We will examine the decision-making processes of individuals and their implications for the micro and macro sphere. In the theoretical research, we will model the behavior of economic subjects taking into account the prospect theory, in the empirical part, using controlled controlled experiments, we will verify the selected theoretical conclusions of the behavioral research and formulate practical recommendations. The project will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of behavioral economics and to a better understanding of the decision-making of subjects in the researched areas.

Overcoming Digital Divide in Europe and Southeast Asia ODDEA, Project 101086381, Call: HORIZON-MSCA-2021- SE-01-1.

Main goal of the project: The main goal of the project is to contribute in the region of Southeast Asia to the formation of groups of researchers who will consistently, interdisciplinary and systematically focus on digitization processes and identify similarities and differences in the digitization process between both regions (Europe vs. Asia).

Additional information about the project: The COVID-19 pandemic has brought digitalization to the forefront, as both individuals and governments have used digital technologies and skills to tackle the scientific and socio-economic challenges posed by the pandemic. Digitalization has helped to sustain the economy and society by enabling remote work, tracking the spread of the virus, and accelerating research for potential treatments and vaccines. This has emphasized the need for a resilient digital transformation and for strengthening the digital economy and society. In fact, the European Commission has made the digitalization of Europe one of its key priorities, aiming to make it a “digital decade”. The importance of digitalization extends beyond Europe, however, as EU associated countries such as Montenegro, and developing countries in Southeast Asia like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, also stand to benefit from digital transformation. It can help these countries to speed up their economic growth, achieve sustainable development, and improve the quality of life for their citizens
