The main scientific objective of the presented project is to comprehensively evaluate the scope, adequacy and consequences of using specific countercyclical regulation tools applied in selected euro area countries and to explore alternative options for detecting of cyclical manifestations in banking, as well as formulating conclusions on regulatory impacts , on their potential to overcome economic imbalances.

The aim of the project was to significantly contribute to a comprehensive evaluation of the system of financial education of various target groups based on the latest knowledge of science, practice and regulation in various areas of financial science, to reduce financial exclusion and to contribute methodological approaches, materials and publications to quality development of existing programs of financial literacy. As part of the project, it has been conducted a survey of the level of knowledge and skills in various target groups of citizens. Textbooks have been developed to contribute to the development of financial knowledge and financial literacy.

The aim of the project was to evaluate the linking between cyclical imbalances in the economy, the stability and performance of the banking sector on the one hand and the interaction with tools and approaches of the institutions of regulation and supervision of financial institutions on the other side. The complexity of the problem gives focus on factors indicating the structur al imbalances, adaptation of euro area banking sector to the changed conditions and proposal of systemic measures in the regulation and supervision of financial institutions area.
